Early morning

We'll have K9Cast #29 up for you in the early morning, hopefully before the sun's up on the east coast of the US. See you then!

K9Cast Enhanced Podcast Information

Recently we've had a few questions from our listeners about enhanced podcasting and how to subscribe to our podcast, so we decided to share our responses on the K9Cast website:

Enhanced podcasting is a technology from Apple that allows podcasters to add images, links and chapters to their podcasts. K9Cast listeners can enjoy the full benefits of enhanced podcasting by subscribing to podcasts through iTunes and listening to the enhanced podcasts on their iPods. If you have a different MP3 player and/or do not wish to use iTunes to subscribe to our podcast then please use our standard podcast feed at this address instead: http://www.k9cast.com/podcast.xml. If you don't have an iPod you can still check out our enhanced podcast! Read on to find out how:

K9Cast uses enhanced podcasting to segment our show into chapters for our listener's convenience. We also share images and links during the podcast that are relevant to the show. Here's a screenshot of an enhanced K9Cast playing in iTunes. If you want to get the enhanced podcast then here's what to do:

For iTunes users: Simply click here and then iTunes will launch. When you see the K9Cast podcast page in iTunes click the "Subscribe" button.

For iPodder users with iPods: Subscribe to our K9Cast Enhanced Feed for iPodder users by copying and pasting the address of our enhanced feed, http://www.k9cast.com/k9cast.xml , into your iPodder. Note that unfortunately the enhanced podcast will only play back inside of iTunes or on an iPod.

Many of our listeners have other MP3 players besides iPods and they have subscribed to BOTH the enhanced feed and the standard feed. Please feel free to do that as well if you wish, that way you can check out the enhanced feed on your computer at anytime and also enjoy K9Cast on your mp3 player. Other listeners do not have mp3 players at all and enjoy our podcast simply by subscribing and listening to it through iTunes. Of course subscribing is optional, you could just use the K9Cast Podcast Player to listen or simply download each show as they are posted on the K9Cast website.

We will always share anything we put in the enhanced podcasts on the K9Cast.com website as well, so you won't miss out on anything if you choose not to subscribe to the enhanced version. But we just wanted to make sure everyone knew it was available and how to get it.

If you would like to know more about enhanced podcasting then please visit these websites or feel free to send us an email!
